Fable 5 has been re-released with 50% weekly usage. Copy my output-optimized Fable stack that doesn't burn tokens like crazy: > [I explain the task] > explore - scout agent (Opus, low) > plan - Fable high > [I review the plan] > implement - Fable medium > diff review - Opus hig…↗

Everyone's always talking about agentic coding harnesses: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi... the list goes on. But what's the difference between all of them? What even Is a harness anyway? In this thread, we'll take a look under the hood. (1/5)🧵↗

a fun workflow for prepping a talk: > record a draft video without a script > have Claude Code turn the video into a Notion page with slides + transcript of what I said > ask people for feedback on the video; Claude processes their notes and attaches things as inline comments in…↗

The future of agentic coding and review is chatless Chat becomes a projection layer: logs, traces and context for o11y and audits The primary interface becomes dashboards that expose goals, progress, blockers, confidence and outcomes↗

Have a little writing app I'm cooking that's designed just for my workflow. As you zoom out, every card flips to a one line summary so you can quickly scan and eval the argument one level up. Using Ollama local models to make these so they're quick and free. So simple, so useful.↗

Headroom -- a lightweight native Mac OS menu bar app for tracking your usage. Shipping tonight/tomorrow so that you can keep eyes on your Fable-filled week ahead. Works for both your subscriptions and API spends. Codex and Claude for now. Free dollars. Fully signed install pac…↗

The issue with having skills and subcommands like `/loop` or `/goal` Is that, fundamentally, I have to be close to a keyboard? Whereas most of my actual work is through dictation. I'm walking around my house, pacing back and forth, and I've really learned to just start using th…↗

TL;DR ELI5 of @trq212's new article: Claude isn't the bottleneck anymore. The stuff you forgot to tell it is. Your prompt is a map. The codebase is the actual road. Every pothole you didn't mention, Claude fills with its best guess, and the more work you hand it, the more it has…↗

We've been thinking about the best way to use screen data for a while now. After 500k hours of beta use, we're launching Dayflow: the open source automatic work journal. One of my favorite @rabois-isms: the best predictor of success is how well you allocate your time. But nobo…↗

The most interesting Fable tip I've heard so far is to let the model use its own judgement as much as possible I told it "For all coding tasks use your judgement to decide an appropriate lower power model and run that in a subagent" and it seems to be saving a lot of tokens↗

If you use Codex, is there any reason you still use ChatGPT? what do you use it for? how has it been better or critical for you?↗

A Field Guide to Fable: Finding Your Unknowns Working with Claude Fable 5 keeps re-teaching me an old lesson: the map is not the territory. The map, a representation of the work to be done, is my prompts and skills and context, it’s what I give Claude. The territory is where th…↗

figuring that out with Fable now, i first started by just brain dumping everything that i want to have agents running for i think this might turn into an Executor feature of 'Agents' where you store a: - name - goal - allowed toolset and then it just handles dispatching an API…↗

fable produced 60+ (!) ready to merge prs for @mainframe overnight. here's how you can set up a software factory using fable as an orchestrator. prompt included! 1. narrate your *entire* todo list — everything that's top of mind — using dictation. i used @usemonologue and my p…↗

Pi's Edit Tool Thread on pi's edit tool since that came up in discussions at @aiDotEngineer, in part in relation to some people seeing edit failures even on SOTA anthropic models. pi's edit tool is intentionally boring and it is not modeled after one provider's preferred edit o…↗

Introducing PorTAL: Portable Task Adapters for LLMs. A novel recipe to cheaply port fine-tuning between models. It matches per task LoRA accuracy at half the cost, lowering the switching overhead of adapting tasks across LLMs. At Ramp, every new model release used to mean retrai…↗

dear claude code & codex teams, please, for the love of god, where is my executive super assistant that has: (1) a deep understanding of me via great memory, just pack 200k context with every chat. you can build this personal store from past chats, but also i'll just give you al…↗
